Wearing: ASOS striped denim dungarees, Converse sneakers, & Other Stories clutch and Mango sunglasses
Wearing a dungaree at work is pretty daring and especially if just like me you have a corporate job. If this is your case, I doubt this is your go-to outfit. If it is, please do tell, I want to hear from you! The truth is I’m not that daring. I took the photos over the weekend so I haven’t actually had the pleasure of giving this beautiful dungaree a try at work. I have to say, I always brace myself before wearing something slightly more fashionable than normal in the office. There was this time when I decided to wear leather trousers. Let’s just say it did not go according to plan. Everyone kept on looking at me in a really weird way and calling me “the biker”. That wasn’t really the persona I was channeling. I was going more for Upper East Side Olivia Palermo chic. I also had several people asking if they could touch the trousers, which they did. Epic fail.
But the thing about dungarees is that I think they’re a lot easier to wear than most people think. Pair it with the right shoes, jacket and accessories and you can hit the clubs and the pubs or you can go for a more casual vibe and hit the shops instead, or festivals (that’s the vibe I went for). But will it ever be ok to wear a dungaree at work? What's your opinion?
